Member of the advisory council for the Master in Luxury & Fashion Business Management
Born in Manresa, in 1966, Rosa Tous i Oriol is a professional gemmologist who studied at the Gemological Institute of America, in California. She is a graduate of the business leadership programme at IESE. She is currently the corporate vice-president of Tous, president of Andema, and second vice-president of the official college of jewellers, goldsmiths, watchmakers, and gemmologists of Catalonia (JORGC). She sits on the board of directors of Círculo Fortuny and of the Spanish Brands Forum since 2019.
She joined the family company in the 1990s, just as the brand began to expand internationally, and created the training, marketing, and communication departments. She currently leads the corporate area and is responsible for defining communication editorial lines, managing institutional relations, promoting corporate culture, and ensuring ethics and transparency throughout the Tous Group.
As part of her responsibilities, Rosa has led the creation of Tous Heritage, an archive/museum for the preservation and exploitation of the brand’s historical heritage in a hybrid physical and digital format. She also chairs the company’s sustainability committee, which determines the projects undertaken by the Tous Group. One notable example is the Tous Jewellery Trade & Artisans School, a socio-educational project that aims to preserve the craft of jewellery-making as a cultural asset from a restoration perspective. This and other initiatives led by Rosa and her team — with the support of the board of directors chaired by Alba Tous i Oriol as president of the Tous Group — underline the importance of her role in the transformation of this centenary company that remains committed to the jewellery sector, its employees, its customers, and the communities where it operates.
As corporate vice president of Tous, Rosa has received awards on behalf of the company and her family. These accolades are a recognition for their contribution to the jewellery sector since 1920, with more than 4,000 employees and 700 shops in 45 countries around the world — and the determination to continue working with a focus on quality, creativity, digitalisation, and respect for craftsmanship.
