Would you like to run youth workshops to help children become agents of change and coordinate groups of volunteers anywhere in the world during the summer?
We are looking to promote the ‘Ford Driving Dreams’ project, an initiative that will help more than 200 children between the ages of 14 and 18 improve their personal development skills: critical thinking, empathy, creativity, confidence, entrepreneurship, teamwork, leadership, participation, communication, the ability to act in response to global challenges, etc.
This is a great opportunity for Centro de Estudios Garrigues’ students, alumni, and faculty to learn a participatory, agile, and effective methodology called the ‘Changemaker process’ and how to design and implement innovative socio-educational experiences. The Changemaker process for young people is free of charge and includes a certificate of accreditation from AIPC Pandora.
The theoretical training sessions will be held on 22 January, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at our Alcobendas campus. It will be followed by a hackathon (intensive training course on social action project ideation) on 27 January, from 9.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., at La Nave, Madrid City Council’s urban innovation centre.
Those who are interested will also have the opportunity to complement their participation with the rest of the Changemaker Youth Facilitator School programme, enabling you to lead and support volunteering projects for young people all around the world during the summer. This exciting programme will consist of in-person and online courses in February and March.
Additionally, participants will have free access to a ten-module online course on sustainable development goals and youth action, entitled ‘Challenges in a changing world’. It will be delivered through the Global Youth Academy, AIPC Pandora’s e-learning platform.
Would you like to join this project and become a facilitator/trainer?
